My Beliefs

Revelation:
I believe:
God has revealed his will and his character to us through natural and specific revelation. When men who were moved on by the Holy Spirit and allowed God’s inspired written word to be written down through themselves, it was Specific Revelation. It’s God writing down specifics of the way to heaven, what he likes dislikes, and examples in scripture that we should or shouldn't follow. This Revelation also includes Natural Revelation such as Creation and Conscience.

God:
I believe:
There is one God, three persons in one, each distinctly different with different properties, and yet without any division or change in character. This three in one God is Holy, Loving, Perfect, and also Merciful, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and All-Powerful.

Man:
I believe:
We were formed out of the “dust of the ground” and were made into the image of God, “formed after His likeness”. When Adam and even sinned in the Garden it brought about a fallen state upon humanity, and humanity's habitation. We live as physically broken, spiritually bent, and emotionally twisted people. Man has to choose God and allow him to restore our broken Spiritual state.

Sin:
I believe:
We as mankind are bent to wanting our own way. It originated when Man said no to God and yes to Satan in the Garden. This “bent” is a selfish, self-seeking, self-pleasing way to what we think is happiness. God longs that we be like him in holiness, and a fresh, complete, and vibrant relationship. Sin ultimately separates us from a Holy God and therefore damns us to hell which will one day be the final eternal home for all who reject Him, including Satan and his fallen angels (demons).

Christ:
I believe:
In Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity who was a historical figure that came to earth as our God/Man to be the perfect sacrifice and atone for us while also providing a meditorial means through which we could approach the Father. He came down from heaven, was incarnate in the Virgin Mary, crucified, buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended into heaven (as verified by over 500 witnesses) and is seated at the right hand of God. One day Christ will come again to “Judge both the living and the dead” and that all who are in fellowship with Him will be raised to newness of life.

Salvation:
I believe:
Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, who by His own blood purchased eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

Holy Spirit:
I believe:
In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity,  our comforter, sustainer, encourager, and convictor. Through the Holy Spirit we find guidance, encouragement, and wisdom “that is from above”. We must be filled always with his fullness and live in the constant power of it so we don’t “fulfill the desires of the flesh” and do “fulfill all the desires of the Spirit”.

Church:
I believe:
The church is a means through which God’s kingdom is expanded; However, it is not the only means. It’s a global earthly (and heavenly) fellowship of believers that is both brick and mortar and (more importantly) a spiritual bond we hold with all believers Globally. One day Christs’ “Church” or “bride” will be “raised in the second resurrection” to reign with him on earth and in heaven forever.

End Times:
I believe:

There are currently “tribulations” and false teachers, problems that are constantly occurring in this world. Eventually there will be a “Great Tribulation” in which the great Satanic temptor will be done away with forever. With the end times will come earthquakes, famines, death, pain, suffering. It will be used by God to help turn his people one last time back to Him. During this time there will be a literal millennial reign of Christ, and will end in the return of Christ to reign upon this earth with his people.
